In the same way, he is the founder of the Psychology training program at the University of the Andes. He is member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP), the Interamerican Society of Psychology (SIP), the Colombian Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences, and others. He has been awared the Colombian Science Award – Life and Work (2004), the American Psychological Association Award (APA) Award for Distinguished Contributions to the International Advancement of Psychology, (2007). Currently, he is the director of the Foundation for the Advancement of Psychology.

Psychologist graduated from the Universidad de los Andes. She obtained her PhD at the Universidad de Granada, Granada, Spain, obtaining the mention of European Doctor. Her work in the laboratory of Psychobiology led her to obtain the necessary category to be Researcher in Biomedical Sciences and Animal Protection, Category C-FELASA. Also, at the Universidad de Granada she did the Expert in Low Incidence Syndromes Associated with Psychic Disability, conducting research on learning disorders in children with rare diseases. She worked as a professor for a year and a half at the Universidad de Granada in the area of Psychobiology for the Faculties of Psychology and Education. Later, she workes in the pharmaceutical company Neuron Bio, where she joined as a researcher specialized in animal learnign, behavior and memory. especialista en comportamiento, aprendizaje y memoria animal, n order to evaluate drugs with neuroprotective activity for diseases such as Alzheimer, Parkinson and epilepsy.

Andrés Pérez-Acosta

Psychologist (Degree of honor, 1996) at Universidad Nacional de Colombia and PhD. in Psychology (Thesis Cum Laude, 2001) at Universidad de Sevilla (Spain), under direction of Santiago Benjumea Rodríguez and José I. Navarro Guzmán. His PhD was sponsored by the scholarship Mutis of the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional. He performed postdoctoral stays in EEUU (with Mauricio R. Papini at Texas Christian University, 2007) and Chile (with Edgar H. Vogel at Universidad de Talca, 2008). Currently, he is titular professor in the Psychology Program of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá). His research is focussed on basic and applied psychology of associative learning, es la psicología básica y aplicada del aprendizaje asociativo, within which it is currently developing the Self-medication Behavior Observatory. Additionally, he has been Visiting Professor at Universidad de São Paulo, Brasil (2015; host: José Lino Oliveira Bueno).

Leonardo Baron Birchenall

 I am doing my PhD in language sciences at Aix-Marseille University. I work on the role of rhythm in phonetic convergence in the laboratory Parole et Langage at Aix-en-Provence. I studied psychology at Santo Tomás University, in Bogotá, Colombia, and obtained my masters` degree in cognitive psychology at Buenos Aires University, in Argentina. I have worked as a university professor and researcher during five years, and now I am interested in language acquisition, perception, and production, from a cognitive and comparative perspective.

Oliver Müller

He studied Psychology at Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany. He obtained his PhD at Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands, and he investigated the access of semantic and syntactic properties of words through evoked potentials at Max Plank Institute of Psycholinguistics. After, he continued the investigation of language processing with behavioral and electrophysiological measures in his post doc at Universidad de La Laguna, Spain. In the 2009, he joined to the Program of Psychology at Universidad del Rosario, Colombia. He has been teaching topics related to basic psychological processes, especially, language, thought and cognition. Furthermore, he is the director of the psychology laboratory at Universidad del Rosario. His interests are the psycholinguistics, cognitive processes in the reading and writing, bilingualism and cognitive aging. His competencies in research are focused on design and analysis of studies of evoked potentials and reaction time, programming of computarized experimental tasks, and quantitative data analysis. Additionally, he has published several papers in national and international scientific journals.

Juan Camilo Vargas-Nieto

Juan Camilo Vargas-Nieto currently works at the Department of Psychology, Fundación Universitaria Konrad Lorenz. Their currents research project are: Mindfulness and basic psychological processes; Online therapies (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Clinical psychologist deeply interested in research and in processes related to education, prevention and promotion of health and clinical practice. My training has been focused on increasing research knowledge and evidence-based therapeutic skills, completing more than 1000 hours of clinical practice including specific training in monitoring mental health professionals.

Franklin Soler

Psychologist with a Master in Bioethics, Professor in psychology at the Universidad del Rosario where he teaches the courses: Behavioral and Cognitive Approaches and Instrumental Techniques of Psychological Evaluation. He has also taught the courses: Experimental and Applied Behavior Analysis, Foundations and History of Psychology and Research Methods. He was the director of the Laboratory of Animal Behavior where several formative projects were performed. He is a Judge of the Departmental Deontological and Bioethical Tribunal of Central and South East Psychology of the Colegio Colombiano de Psicólogos ansd he is a principal member of the Institutional Ethics Committee of the Social Sciences Room at the Universidad del Rosario. In addition, he is also a researcher in the areas of evolution and learning of human sexual behavior and in bioethics and psychological evaluation. Finally, he is an expert in self-evaluation processes for qualified registration, accreditation of undergraduate programs and institutional accreditation.

Psychologist from the Universidad Católica de Colombia, specialist in Human Resources Management from the Universidad de los Andes, Master in Psychology with emphasis in Psychology and Health from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and PhD in Psychology, Universidad de los Andes. he has extensive experience in university teaching in the area of Design and Quantitative Research, Motivation and Emotion, Project Evaluation, Human Resource Management and Organizational Psychology and in advising practices in the organizational area.

Julio Eduardo Cruz

Psychologist of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Thesis, meritorious mention) and PhD. in Psychology, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, (Dissertation, Apto Cum Laude); currently, he is Associated Professor in the Department of Psychology at University of Los Andes. His career on more than 20 years as teaching and research focuses on issues in psychology which deal with describing, explaining, predicting and controlling social behavior; the majority of his products are related with different specialties of this discipline such as Social Psychology, Economic Psychology, Consumer Psychology, Marketing Psychology. He has conducted diverse studies about Classical Conditioning and evaluative conditioning of preferences, attitudes, Persuasion and, more recently, Evolutionary Psychology applied to Consumer and Persuasive Communications. The professor Cruz is a founder member of the Behavioral Sciences Research Group; He has contributed to the development of the research lines of the group, he is mentor of different doctoral and master students of the Department of Psychology at the University of Los Andes.

Julio Eduardo Cruz

Psychologist of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Thesis, meritorious mention) and PhD. in Psychology, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, (Dissertation, Apto Cum Laude); currently, he is Associated Professor in the Department of Psychology at University of Los Andes. His career on more than 20 years as teaching and research focuses on issues in psychology which deal with describing, explaining, predicting and controlling social behavior; the majority of his products are related with different specialties of this discipline such as Social Psychology, Economic Psychology, Consumer Psychology, Marketing Psychology. He has conducted diverse studies about Classical Conditioning and evaluative conditioning of preferences, attitudes, Persuasion and, more recently, Evolutionary Psychology applied to Consumer and Persuasive Communications. The professor Cruz is a founder member of the Behavioral Sciences Research Group; He has contributed to the development of the research lines of the group, he is mentor of different doctoral and master students of the Department of Psychology at the University of Los Andes.
